Tasks Overview

Tasks & scheduling6 min read

SiteHut tasks can be managed from the workspace Tasks sidebar or inside each job. Both support List, Gantt, and Calendar views.

Where tasks live

  • Workspace tasksTasks in the sidebar: everything across all jobs, filterable by assignee, status, and dates.
  • Project tasks — open a JobTasks tab: work scoped to that job only.

Personal / internal work

Every task belongs to a job. For non-site work (product, ops, admin):

  1. Create an internal job (e.g. SiteHut / Internal).
  2. Assign yourself on each task so My Work shows only your queue.
  3. Set an end date (due) for overdue / today / this week grouping in My Work.
  4. Star the job in the sidebar for faster quick-create from My Work.

Use My Work for daily triage and Tasks for planning across jobs.

List view

The default list is best for day-to-day edits: statuses, assignees, due dates, and quick reordering.

Gantt view

Use Gantt for dependencies, durations, and seeing the critical path across tasks. Best when planning phases and handoffs.

Non-working days from your workspace calendar feed into Gantt scheduling (weekend settings + calendar exceptions).

Calendar view

Calendar shows tasks and events on dates. For creation shortcuts, drag-reschedule, and filters, see the dedicated Calendar guide.

Keyboard shortcuts

Power users can move faster with shortcuts from anywhere in the tasks area—see Task shortcuts.
