Pipeline
Pipeline is an optional board for enquiries before they are jobs. Add a maybe, move it through stages, then Start quote to create the job. You do not need Pipeline if every call already becomes a job.

When to use this
Use Pipeline when you have more maybes than you want on the Jobs list: follow-ups, estimated value, and win/loss without opening a site record yet.
Do not use it for work already on site. Use Jobs.
Leave it off if one enquiry already means one job. You can still create a job and send a quote as usual.
Before you start
- An admin has turned on Settings → Features → Enable sales pipeline. That shows Pipeline in the sidebar and a Prospects tab on Customers & trades.
- You can view the pipeline.
- A customer is useful but not required. You can capture a new contact on the enquiry, or link one later.
Add an enquiry
Open Pipeline and choose Add enquiry. The form is New enquiry.
Fill Enquiry title, contact name, phone, email, Source, optional Follow-up date, Estimated value, and Scope / notes. Link to existing customer is optional.

Move it along
On desktop, Active enquiries sit on a kanban: New, Contacted, Site visit, Quoting, Quoted. Drag a card, or change Status in the detail sheet.
On a phone, or when the view is Lost, Won, or All, you get a list instead. Filter with Active / Lost / Won / All.
Start a quote
Open the enquiry. Start quote asks you to Confirm job name, then Create job and start quote.
You need a linked customer or a contact name first. After save, add the quote on the new job. Continue in Quotes.
Sending a quote moves the enquiry to Quoted. Approving that quote on the job marks the enquiry Won. Use Mark won only if the deal closed without that approval in SiteHut. Mark lost takes it off the active board (optional reason).
What done looks like
- The enquiry is on the board with a stage, contact, and optional value.
- A won enquiry has a linked job. Open job goes to that record.
- Summary tiles show open enquiries, estimated value, and win rate.
Common mistakes
- Creating a job for every phone call when Pipeline is on and you still needed a maybe.
- Turning the module off while enquiries are still open. SiteHut blocks that until they are won or lost.
- Treating a Builder Brief as the customer offer. The brief feeds the quote; it is not the quote.
- Using Mark won after you already sent a quote, then wondering why the job and enquiry disagree. Prefer the quote approval path.
Enquiry sources
When Pipeline is on, Settings → Sales lists Enquiry sources (for example Referral, Website). Those labels appear on Add enquiry. Sources already used on an enquiry cannot be deleted until you change or remove those records.
Builder Briefs and Prospects
Turning Pipeline on also turns Builder Briefs on. You can still toggle Briefs under Settings → Features.
Start brief (on Add enquiry or the Builder Briefs menu) opens Start project brief. Pick a published template, then Fill myself or Send to client (copy the link). Manage templates and the public profile from the same menu: Manage brief templates, Public profile studio, Copy public profile link.
Prospects on Customers & trades is the directory view of leads. A quick-capture contact becomes a prospect when you start a quote.
