SiteHut 1.9.0
This release introduces the SiteHut Developer API beta for approved workspace integrations.
- Versioned workspace API: Approved workspaces can connect external systems through a stable
/api/v1/contract covering jobs, customers, partners, tasks, snags, RFIs, commercial records, files, timesheets, schedules, and selected workflow actions. - Free service accounts: Create dedicated non-human integration identities without using paid workspace seats. Service accounts cannot sign in interactively or own a workspace.
- Precise access boundaries: Give each service account an existing workspace role and explicitly select the jobs it can access. New jobs are not added automatically.
- Scoped and expiring API keys: Limit every key to selected permissions and set an expiry date, with 90 days as the default. Secrets are shown once and can be rotated or revoked from Workspace settings.
- Safe integration management: Suspend, resume, edit, or permanently retire service accounts while keeping their identity separate from the employee who created them.
- Reliable write retries: Supported create actions accept idempotency keys so integrations can safely retry the same request without creating duplicates.
- Built-in safeguards: Workspace and key rate limits, stricter limits for expensive actions, permission checks, project isolation, and audit records protect connected data.
- Complete developer resources: Search the endpoint reference, review permissions and compatibility guidance, download the OpenAPI specification, or begin with the Postman collection.
The Developer API is a support-approved beta. Workspace owners can review the documentation and request access from Workspace settings → Integrations → API keys.
