Activity
Activity is the running record of the job: team messages, decisions, and system events, in order. Use it when you need the story. Use Plan when you need dates and dependencies.

When to use this
Use Activity for catch-up, client-visible notes, and turning a message into tracked work.
Use Daily log for the structured daily site record. Use Gantt to change durations and links.
Before you start
- You can view activity on this job.
- For convert actions, you also need permission to create a task, RFI, or change order.
Messages and other views

Post an update
Compose on Activity. Attach files where you need evidence. Internal is the default (workspace only). Everyone is the client-visible audience.

Catch up
Scroll by date. Switch to System when you want commercial events without the chat.
Turn a note into work
On a message, use the menu:
- Create task… for something that needs an owner and a date
- Create snag… for a punch item
- Create RFI… for a question to a consultant or trade
- Create variation… when price or scope moved (this creates a change order)
Title and context prefill where the app can.
What done looks like
- The decision is on Activity with a timestamp and author.
- If it became work, a task, RFI, or change order exists and still points back at the note.
- Internal chatter is not marked Everyone.
Common mistakes
- Putting the only copy of a change in Activity and never raising a change order.
- Using Activity as a daily log. Weather, staff on site, and photos by date belong on Daily log.
- Replying Internal in an Everyone thread, or the reverse.
Retract and My Work messages
You can retract a message posted in error. Give a short reason. Retract is for mistakes, not for rewriting history after a dispute.
Unread job messages also surface from My Work → Messages. The full thread is still on the job Activity tab.
