Task shortcuts
Tasks uses a small set of keys and gestures. Global Help and search keys are on Keyboard shortcuts.
Calendar
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| New event with that range | Click an empty day or time slot |
| New task with that range | Option (Alt) + click an empty slot |
| Open detail | Click the item |
| Reschedule | Drag the item |
On a phone, use Add Task or Add Event. Alt-click is desktop-only.
Dialogs
In the Add Task and Add Event dialogs, ⌘ Enter or Ctrl+Enter saves.
Gantt and List
There is no letter key to create a Gantt task, and no Delete key that removes the selected bar. Use Add Task, the row menu, or bulk Delete.
Move and resize on Gantt by dragging the bar or its ends. Draw a dependency from a start or end handle. See Gantt chart.
