SiteHut beta 0.1.36

This beta update improves the connection between receipts, suppliers, resource pricing, and downstream commercial documents.

  • Expense capture: Match recognised vendor names to existing Directory partners automatically, or create a missing supplier directly while reviewing the expense.
  • Receipt handling: Keep uploaded and analysed receipts attached more reliably when opening, editing, and saving an expense.
  • Supplier pricing: Record supplier codes and descriptions alongside each resource price, with clearer default-price details and links back to the supplier.
  • Cost coding and units: Assign cost codes to resources and use a broader, more consistent set of units across Library imports, expenses, quotes, and orders.
  • Commercial documents: Choose whether quote PDFs show tax by rate, and import order lines with clearer separation between the quoted sell rate and supplier cost.

Variation creation now also follows each job’s selected simple or full workflow more reliably.

SiteHut beta 0.1.35

This beta update makes it safer to bring resource and supplier pricing into your Library and easier to maintain it afterwards.

  • Clearer import review: Review each resource in one table, including its group, supplier, unit, and rate, before anything is saved.
  • Controlled updates: Existing resources are skipped by default unless you explicitly choose Update, helping prevent spreadsheet imports from overwriting current data unexpectedly.
  • Flexible spreadsheets: Import common alternative column names, unit labels, date formats, currency-formatted rates, and files containing damaged spreadsheet characters more reliably.
  • Supplier setup: Search or create a supplier directly while adding a resource, with clearer default-supplier and price controls throughout the Library.
  • Round-trip exports: Exported resource files use the same columns accepted by import, including supplier, rate, price date, group, unit, and description.

New resources must now have a group, keeping the price book structured and making missing information visible during review instead of after import.

SiteHut beta 0.1.34

This beta update improves how SiteHut behaves when a temporary service problem interrupts account or workspace data.

  • Honest failure messages: Actions now explain when SiteHut is temporarily unavailable instead of making an individual button appear broken.
  • Safer account routing: Existing users are no longer sent to new-account setup when workspace data cannot be loaded.
  • Guided recovery: The application keeps the current session in a recovery state and offers a clear option to try again.

The underlying database connection configuration has also been strengthened to reduce the chance of the same outage recurring.

SiteHut beta 0.1.33

This beta update makes it quicker to maintain supplier prices across your costing library and improves how pricing detail appears on customer quotes.

  • Supplier pricing: Assign one supplier and individual rates to multiple library resources in a single reviewed flow.
  • Supplier views: Group resources by supplier, filter by pricing or default-supplier status, and edit the relevant supplier rate directly in the grouped view.
  • Library and Directory: Add resources from a supplier’s Directory record or assign suppliers from selected Library rows, with direct links between both views.
  • Quote PDFs: Resource breakdowns now follow the document display setting more consistently, while mixed tax totals show the net amount associated with each rate.

Resources that already have a current price from the selected supplier are recognised and skipped, helping prevent duplicate supplier prices.

SiteHut beta 0.1.32

This beta update makes it clearer where quote information is managed and helps prevent important details from being left off customer documents.

  • One connected quote: Manage scope notes, payment stages, protections, and commercial terms from the quote summary. Document layout uses the same information while controlling how it appears.
  • Safer PDFs: See a clear warning when the current layout cannot show information you have added, then add the missing Summary, Payment schedule, Assumptions, or Terms section directly from the quote.
  • Quote protections: Apply reusable workspace assumptions and exclusions, edit the customer-facing wording, and manage protection templates from the Library.
  • Smoother tasks: Improved task links, highlighting, assignee controls, and compact task creation make it easier to return to the right item and continue working.

Document-specific overrides remain available when an individual quote needs different wording from its summary or workspace defaults.

SiteHut beta 0.1.31

This beta update makes everyday planning quicker and gives you more control over quote pricing, payment, and presentation.

  • Quick to-dos: Add a task directly from Tasks or My Work with just a job and title, then add dates, dependencies, and other details when needed.
  • Quote editing: Drag lines into order, insert a line exactly where you need it, duplicate existing lines, and organise work under clearer headings.
  • Payment stages: Create stages such as Deposit or Completion, assign quote lines to them, and restore your workspace defaults when needed.
  • Tax control: Set a default tax rate for the quote or template, override individual lines, and show mixed rates separately in quote totals.
  • Quote presentation: Choose between detailed lines and heading totals, select the pricing columns and resource detail customers see, then review everything in a larger PDF preview before sending.

Small interface improvements also make units easier to recognise and the update prompt clearer on compact screens.

SiteHut beta 0.1.30

This beta update improves the path from preparing a quote to sharing the finished document.

  • Quote resources: Import pricing from another quote, an estimate, your library, or supplier prices when building up a quote line.
  • Quote templates: Find system and custom templates more easily, apply them more reliably, and manage reusable quote protections from the Library.
  • Document delivery: Follow a clearer recipient and delivery flow, including a simple send-to-myself option when using your own email.
  • Help and guidance: Use a reorganised documentation library with clearer navigation and more contextual links from inside SiteHut.

Official project communications now also respect each job’s Digital notices setting, helping prevent documents from being sent through SiteHut before electronic delivery has been agreed.

SiteHut beta 0.1.29

This beta update makes it easier to choose the right level of contract management for each job.

  • Change management: Choose a simple register for tracking extras or a full workflow for formal contract variations.
  • Guided setup: Set up contract form, customer relationship, consultant, variation rules, and commercial terms in a clearer sequence.
  • Templates and starters: Apply a saved template or SiteHut starter directly to a job, then review and adjust the resulting rules.
  • Reusable setups: Save a completed job setup as a workspace template for future projects.

Contract choices and pricing rules now include clearer explanations, helping you understand what each option changes before applying it.

SiteHut beta 0.1.28

This beta update gives you more control over how prices are built and how costs are classified.

  • Quote pricing: Build a quote line from library or manual resources, including costs and markups. You can also choose whether to show the sell-price breakdown on the customer quote.
  • Variation pricing: Price additions and omissions, import library rates, or link adjustments to original contract lines while following the project’s contract rules.
  • Cost tracking: Use consistent workspace cost types and cost codes across estimates, orders, expenses, invoices, and job reporting.
  • Starter libraries: Choose one clear starting pack for a workspace, with refreshed UK and US costing content.

This release also improves the reliability of document and receipt analysis when an uploaded file cannot be read cleanly on the first attempt.

SiteHut beta 0.1.27

This beta update makes common commercial setup work quicker while keeping important choices visible.

  • Variations: Name the variation, choose the appropriate contract-aware route, then complete the details in a focused draft. Unavailable routes remain visible with an explanation.
  • Resource imports: Review suggested matches and proposed new resources, groups, and suppliers before anything is saved.
  • Supplier pricing: Select or create a supplier and add its first default price while creating a resource.

You will also see clearer prompts for completing variation records and checking the project’s contract rules.
